Robert L. Peabody
Robert L. Peabody is a member of Summit Health’s white collar/government enforcement regulatory practice, representing individuals and entities facing government scrutiny ranging from administrative and regulatory inquiries to criminal investigations of waste, fraud and abuse. A son of a former Massachusetts governor, Bob followed a path of public service, acquiring deep trial experience in his career as a prominent state and then federal prosecutor, including more than 60 jury trials in state and federal courts, and numerous arguments before the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
As a white-collar defense attorney in Boston and also New York City where Bob has lived and practiced, he has built an extensive and respected law practice representing companies and management in health care, securities, tax, labor, and corporate fraud matters. He has also represented pharmaceutical and other health care/medical professionals facing investigations of illegal kickbacks, off-label marketing, Medicare/Medicaid fraud, violations of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act before state and federal regulators, as well as complaints before the Commonwealth’s Board of Registration of Medicine. Bob has also had particular success representing colleges, universities, and other academic institutions facing internal allegations of Title IX violations.
